Eleven Years and Counting
Mood:  energetic

It's hard to believe, but it's true...we have been running an open stage weekly for eleven years and there's no sign that we won't be going for another eleven. So many performers have had their first public appearance on our stage. We are very forgiving, so don't think you have to be another Bob Dyland or Eric Clapton to come out and perform.

 

 

Happy Tenth Anniversary Good Vibes...what a milestone...well over Five Hundred Evenings Of Music and Fun...if we could weigh all of the good vibrations we have sent out into the universe, I'm sure it would be several tons!!!  Stayin' Alive for years to come...

This Thursday, March 1st, our feature performer is Johnny Walker...John loves the blues and much of the early sixties folk music...he plays both six and twelve string guitars (not at the same time, although I think he's working on it).

10th Anniversary

 

Our tenth anniversary is going to take place on April 12, 2012...on that date we will have officially completed ten full years of song and laughter...please join us for the festivities... 

This coming Thursday, our feature performer will be Sandy Price, an old time fiddler...she's not old...some of the music is...come on out and tap your toes to some great pieces. 

 

Well we did it! Last Thursday we completed nine years of music, comedy, poetry and what have you. Now we are in our tenth year and looking forward to a big blowout on our tenth anniversary...April of 2012...but don't wait till then to see what has been keeping us going for nine full years. Get out your date book and pencil in a Thursday in the not too distant future....

Last Thursday was quite a night. Lu had the good fortune to lay a cream pie in the face of John Vella...quite a sight...

Christmas is great at Good Vibes...we get to sing the old and new Christmas songs together and exchange some 'unknown' gifts with one another...hope you can make it.

We celebrated Lu's birthday last Thursday...as usual, Lu invites her friends to the coffeehouse for this little party...as far as the eye can see, everyone had a great time...

I'm really pleased to see that we now have a few young performers who enjoy the coffeehouse as much as we do. They often bring their own music to share with us. One of these performers, who is just pushing twenty, has one CD of his own to his credit and is working on his second. We hope more young folk will find their way to our little Thursday night party at Mt. St. Louis

 

Hi, John - This is a great idea  I think we should annouce this at the Coffee House, so people know about it.  I'll make sure it gets mentioned next Thursday.

 Latest news for the blog - our operating committee met yesterday.  We went over the financial and historical reports, dicussed the items in the suggestion box, and made plans for our 7th anniversary, which will be April 23rd.
